White House releases President Trump’s MRI scan results

The White House released a letter on December 2 from Captain Sean B. Barbabella, DO, President Donald J. Trump’s physician, stating that the abdominal and cardiac MRI imaging exams President Trump had in October 2025 were “perfectly normal,” CBS News reported.

The abdominal MRI showed that “all major organs appear very healthy and well perfused. Everything evaluated is functioning within normal limits with no acute or chronic concerns,” Barbabella wrote.

The cardiac MRI also did not reveal any cardiac disease or abnormalities. Barbabella noted that “there is no evidence of arterial narrowing impairing blood flow or abnormalities in the heart or major vessels. The heart chambers are normal in size, the vessel walls appear smooth and healthy, and there are no signs of inflammation or clotting.” In his opinion, President Trump's cardiovascular system shows excellent health, according to the CBS report.

In a December 1 memorandum to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Barbabella wrote that the MRI scans at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center were performed as part of a detailed assessment that is “standard for an executive physical at President Trump's age, and confirms that he remains in excellent overall health," CBS said.
