RaySearch Laboratories and Leo Cancer Care in Horley, U.K., are collaborating to integrate RaySearch's RayStation software with technology Leo Cancer Care is developing to guide upright radiation therapy technology.
Leo Cancer Care is developing an upright dual-energy fan-beam CT scanner designed to enable delivery of radiation therapy with the patient in the upright position. The system is now acquiring images, and RaySearch is using these images to develop capabilities within RayStation to plan upright treatments.
Additionally, RayCare, RaySearch's oncology information system, will be integrated with Leo Cancer Care's treatment technology. The two entities aim to provide a safe, efficient, and fully integrated platform for upright radiation treatments.
RaySearch also said this collaboration will allow for treatment planning for both of Leo Cancer Care's solutions for particle and photon therapy treatments.
