Radiation therapy clinic software provider RaySearch Laboratories' RayCare 2024A oncology information system has been certified interoperable with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators, version 3.0.
In May 2023, the company's RayCare 5B was certified interoperable with TrueBeam 3.0, 17 months after its release. In contrast, this new interoperability certificate for 2024A comes before its release, which is scheduled for June 2024.
TrueBeam is Varian's treatment delivery platform that supports all treatment techniques and capabilities that are provided by C-arm linacs, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), volumetric-modulated arc therapy (VMAT), and electrons with flexible beam energy selection and non-coplanar beam arrangements. The interoperability certificate applies to linacs in the TrueBeam family equipped with kV imaging, which include TrueBeam, TrueBeam STx, Edge, and VitalBeam.
