Cedara debuts 3-D fetal ultrasound application

PACS and medical imaging software developer Cedara Software of Mississauga, Ontario has released Baby Explorer, a 3-D fetal imaging application for existing ultrasound systems. The product runs on standard PC hardware attached to the ultrasound scanner, and features 3-D segmentation and clipping tools, animation and multimedia export, and the capability to print in a variety of formats on standard printers.

As part of a market preview, the application has been installed in more than 30 sites in North America, South America, and Asia, according to the firm.
