Portable ultrasound developer Longport has appointed Paul Wilson as president. Wilson had been serving as president of Longport International for three years, and has been involved with the Swarthmore, PA-based firm for five years. Current president and CEO Michael Boyd will remain as the company's CEO.
In other news, the firm has signed a distribution agreement with Roomberg Consulting Group, which will sell the Longport Digital Scanner in North America. If certain sales goals are met over the next year, Roomberg will become the exclusive sales distributor for the scanner in the wound-care market, Longport said. The company also said it has obtained funding to produce the next group of its scanner boards and probes.
