Philips Medical Systems of Andover, MA, has launched the Performance 2004 upgrade package for its EnVisor ultrasound system. The package is targeted at ob/gyn practitioners and includes three new transducers optimized for women’s health exams, a comprehensive fertility analysis package, and new measurements to support nuchal translucency evaluation.
The firm is offering an L12-5 50-mm linear-array transducer for small-parts applications and near-field breast imaging. It supports trapezoid and continuous-steer features and has color-flow and Doppler capabilities.
Another probe in the package, a C8-4v broadband curved-array endovaginal transducer, has an optimized radius of curvature for a 135° field of view, and also includes color-flow imaging and Doppler capabilities. The third transducer in the Performance 2004 bundle is the C5040 curved-array transducer, designed for high-resolution obstetric imaging and pediatric applications with color-flow and Doppler imaging.
Also included in the upgrade are enhanced capabilities for breast imaging and other superficial applications, as well as connectivity enhancements such as advanced DICOM, according to the company
