Sensant gets NSF grant

Silicon-based ultrasound transducer developer Sensant has been awarded a follow-on Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the National Science Foundation. Sensant said it will use the $500,000 phase II grant to further develop its silicon microtechnology for use in ultrasound imaging. The San Leandro, CA-based firm received a $100,000, phase 1 research grant from the NSF in July 2002.
