Ultrasound vendor Biosound Esaote has released a new portable ultrasound system, MyLab 30 CV.
The product weighs less than 20 lb (9 kg) and utilizes the Microsoft Windows XP operating system. It incorporates phased-array technology for cardiac imaging, linear array technology for vascular and small parts, and curved-array and microconvex scanning for general imaging, according to the Indianapolis-based firm. The device also has integrated contrast acquisition and analysis modes, and high-resolution multiplane transesophageal imaging capabilities.
Other features include native DICOM, a digital management application, and an integrated CD writer for storage and transfer of clinical studies, the company said.
