Ultrasound developer Aloka is launching its latest ultrasound system, ProSound alpha 5(1), at the World Congress on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Stockholm this week, according to the Tokyo-based firm.
The company has developed a high-speed digital processor specifically for ultrasonic signal processing that delivers a compact front end, while reducing power consumption by 40%, Aloka said.
The system also features Definitive Tissue Harmonic Echo (D-THE), multibeam processing for observing fast-moving anatomy, a digital storage and management component called intelligent Data Management System (iDMS), real-time Free Angular M-mode (FAM), and 3D display capabilities, the company said.
