Toshiba America Medical Systems has released version 5.5 software for its Aplio ultrasound scanner. The new release offers streamlined clinical workflow and image acquisition optimization, according to the Tustin, CA-based vendor.
The new Differential Tissue Harmonics Imaging (THI) option offers increased spatial resolution and penetration for improved border tissue definition with enhanced transducers, Toshiba said. The company has also included a Quick Scan option, aimed at optimizing images for increased productivity and reproducible exams with less interoperator variability.
