An enhanced version of the company's flagship Logiq 9 scanner and a new Logiq Book XP compact ultrasound system will be featured in the ultrasound section of GE Healthcare's booth at the RSNA show.
GE is adding high-performance volume and multiplanar imaging capabilities to Logiq 9. Using Logiq 9 and new 4D transducer technology, clinicians can acquire and reconstruct volumetric images at up to 30 volumes per second. The system uses GE's TruScan architecture, with automatic image optimization and raw data manipulation and management.
GE's Logiq Book XP was introduced in September, and supports cardiac assessment and surgical imaging applications. It is a full-featured hand-carried ultrasound system with connectivity features that enable clinicians to scan patients virtually anywhere. The system delivers a broad range of clinical applications and connectivity features to scan outside of the department, according to the Waukesha, WI-based company.
GE will also be highlighting new enhancements for its Logiq 7 shared-services system. CrossXBeam spatial compounding and speckle reduction imaging (SRI) optimize image quality for a full range of clinical applications. For cardiovascular imaging, Logiq 7 offers transesophogeal scanning and stress echo, as well as new quantitative tools such as Q-Analysis, tissue velocity imaging (TVI), and tissue velocity Doppler (TVD) for more precise diagnostic analysis, according to the company.
