Medison

Korean ultrasound vendor Medison will demonstrate 3D-eXtended Imaging (3D-XI), a new image processing package for the company's Accuvix XQ 3D ultrasound scanner. The package includes three new imaging applications: Multi-Slice View, Oblique View, and VolumeCT.

Medison

Multi-Slice View enables 3D ultrasound anatomy to be displayed as serial slices similar to that of MR or CT scans. The scanner operator can determine the distance between each slice, in increments from 0.5 mm to 3 mm.

Oblique View enables users to display specific oblique scan planes from acquired 3D volume anatomy. The end result is a "more complete visual examination, according to Medison, with better understanding of the correlated anatomy of interest.

VolumeCT enables users to visually display the relationship of coronal, sagittal, and axial views of the 3D dataset. Each scan plane, as well as the entire volume dataset, is interactive, providing a more precise orientation of the displayed intersecting anatomical data.
