Siemens Medical Solutions is introducing several new ultrasound applications at this week's annual scientific sessions of the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) in Boston.
The Malvern, PA-based vendor is showcasing ultrasound applications for the assessment of patients with congestive heart failure, as well as a 3D offering for atrial fibrillation. Axius Velocity Vector Imaging (VVI) assesses left ventricular dynamics in patients with heart failure, according to the firm. Another new addition, Axius Auto Ejection Fraction, provides automated measurements of cardiac ejection fraction.
In 3D developments, syngo InSpace EP integrates preprocedural cardiac CT or MR 3D datasets to segment a view of the heart's left atrium, Siemens said.
