Ultrasound imaging technology developer TechniScan Medical Systems has appointed Karleen Callahan, Ph.D., as its director of clinical affairs.
Callahan is responsible for the clinical development plan and submission for all regulatory approvals of TechniScan's proprietary UltraSound CT (USCT), according to the Salt Lake City-based firm.
Before accepting the position with TechniScan, Callahan was executive director of clinical development at biopharmaceutical company MacroMed, where she directed the clinical development of an oncology product for the treatment of esophageal, breast, and brain cancer.
