(Booth 8210) Medical device and accessory company CIVCO of Kalona, IA, will demonstrate new tools for ultrasound-guided procedures, as well as a new transducer cover.

The iVAS transducer cover is designed for use in vascular access procedures such as peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement, intrajugular (IJ) insertions, and femoral artery catheter placements. It expands the sterile field up to 58 inches, is telescopically folded, and is intended for use over most ultrasound transducers.

Another new product, Infiniti needle guidance system, features two components: a reusable bracket and disposable snap-on needle guide to be used for ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia. The device holds the needle as it is advanced to offer smooth insertion while enabling visualization of the puncture site, according to the company.

Finally, the AccuSite needle guidance system is designed for use in central line placement procedures and also includes a reusable bracket and disposable snap-on needle guide.
