(Booth 5529) GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., will return to the RSNA stage with the new Logiq E9 platform with volume navigation, a tool that combines real-time ultrasound images with previously acquired CT, MR, or PET images.

2008 11 03 16 23 05 444 Ge Ult 2008GE describes volume navigation as a "GPS-like technology" that's designed to monitor interventional procedures with real-time fused images.

Another feature of Logiq E9 is a scan assistant tool that permits clinicians to preprogram actions that are performed most often to let the system perform automated detailed manipulations as the patient is scanned. The feature is designed to increase productivity as it automatically inserts comments, completes measurements, steers color Doppler, and performs other routine functions.

GE also will highlight the Logiq P6 scanner, a portable system designed with a small footprint that offers ultrasound detail for exams of the thyroid, breast, and ovaries. Meanwhile, Logiq e is a laptop-sized scanner that comes with a portable docking station designed to extend functionality of the system.

Finally, GE will showcase Logiq i, a wireless laptop-sized system that offers advanced features such as organ-specific imaging. It's intended for a comprehensive set of applications, including vascular, musculoskeletal, and oncology imaging at the point of care.
