(Booth 4454) Guangdong, China-based Shantou Institute of Ultrasonic Instruments (SIUI) is coming to the 2008 RSNA show with several new products, ranging from hand-carried units to systems that support advanced 4D imaging.
Apogee 1100 is a digital color Doppler hand-carried portable unit, while CTS-8800 is a portable full-digital black-and-white ultrasound scanner with 4D imaging capability.
SIUI also will showcase Apogee 3800, which features matrix-array imaging technology (MAIT) that receives the ultrasound signal in a matrix array rather than a traditional ultrasound beam. The benefit of the design is that image resolution is enhanced with low impedance and multiple matching-layer design.
This system offers cine-loop storage in radiofrequency format, B-mode/color-mode combination, and several other data processing technologies.
