Sonora launches new ultrasound phantom

Imaging equipment supplier Sonora Medical Systems of Longmont, CO, has released its new ultrasound tissue phantom.

Features of the Optimal phantom include an insertion port for transesophageal (TE) probes designed for image testing of the probe in its natural scanning position.

Probe troughs also are included on the Optimal for enhanced scanning of highly curved endocavitary probes without placing stress on the probe shaft.
