Healthcare products and services provider Henry Schein has decided to exit the wholesale ultrasound market and will dispose of those operations in the fourth quarter of 2008.
While Henry Schein said it would continue to sell ultrasound products to physicians, it will no longer sell ultrasound equipment for the wholesale channel as it falls outside of the company's core business, according to the Melville, NY-based firm.
