Dear AuntMinnie Member,
This week on AuntMinnie.com we're featuring a report from Haiti by Dr. Gia Deangelis, a University of Virginia radiologist on the front lines of the hard-hit nation's disaster relief efforts.
Dr. Deangelis narrowly missed being in Port-au-Prince at the time of the earthquake, but she managed to make it to Haiti a few days later. She's now at a clinic in Cap-Haitien, a few hours north of the capital, and is helping to care for the sick and injured. Click here to read her story.

University of Pennsylvania researchers found that procedure volume for FDG-PET studies in colorectal cancer patients grew substantially at their institution after Medicare began paying for the exams.
