New app teaches BI-RADS US lexicon

Canadian software firm Digital Orientation Resolutions has developed a self-directed learning tool for the American College of Radiology (ACR) BI-RADS Ultrasound lexicon to help clinicians report more accurately on breast ultrasound findings.

The Katiba breast ultrasound reporting app helps clinicians learn and apply the lexicon in a standardized environment to ensure improved accuracy and consistency, the company said. The app is also equipped with other helpful features such as integration with Apple's speech recognition technology and the ability to insert charts and diagrams into the report and add a signature.

The app can help prevent the most common errors in breast ultrasound reporting, according to the firm.
