BrainLab, Rad Technology ink deal

Image-guided surgery firm BrainLab and radiation therapy provider Rad Technology have signed a cooperation agreement. Rad Technology of Pembroke Pines, FL will offer its portable radiation oncology system to BrainLab’s Novalis shaped-beam surgery customers worldwide.

Rad Technology will also offer a permanent version of its shielding system, called Stat System. The resulting radiosurgery suite will be called the Instant Novalis Center, according to BrainLab of Munich, Germany, and Rad Technology.
