Advanced visualization firm Vital Images took a hit in its first-quarter financial results (end-March 31), which it attributed to "an uncertain industry environment."
The company reported first-quarter revenue of $17.3 million, down 16% compared to $20.8 million for the same period in 2007, and a net loss of $594,000, compared to a net income of $2.4 million in the first quarter of 2007.
The Minneapolis-based firm also reported that it has launched Vital Enterprise, an advanced visualization and analysis package that gives users unlimited access to the company's Vital 3D applications, the company said. The package is available to Vital Images' installed base of customers.
