Healthcare performance improvement technology firm Accumen has acquired image postprocessing services provider 3DR Laboratories.
3DR Laboratories was founded in 2005 and currently provides postprocessing of CT and MRI scans for more than 450 hospital radiology departments, standalone imaging centers, and radiology practices in the U.S, according to Accumen. It's processed more than 400,000 cases to date.
For Accumen, the deal expands its clinical portfolio and adds depth to its imaging transformation offering, which is focused on enhancing operational performance in imaging departments and centers, according to the company. The firm said that it doesn't expect to make any changes to 3DR's staff, which includes 150 employees -- 120 of whom are radiologic technologies -- or its main office in Louisville, KY.
