Canadian digital x-ray developer Teledyne DALSA has introduced a new version of its Sapera Vision Software image processing suite, which also features a new graphical artificial intelligence (AI) application.
Sapera Vision Software Edition 2020-09 features version 9.0 of the Sapera Processing library and version 1.0 of Astrocyte, an AI-based graphical application dedicated to training neural networks on 2D images for tasks such as classification, object detection, segmentation, and noise reduction on existing images, according to the company.
After AI models are developed, Astrocyte can then export them to Sapera Processing for integration into a final software application, Teledyne DALSA said. Sapera Vision Software Edition 2020-09 is suitable for applications such as noise reduction on x-ray medical images, as well as a number of industrial use cases, according to the firm.
