R2, Kaiser ink CAD deal

Computer-aided detection (CAD) developer R2 Technology has signed an agreement with healthcare provider Kaiser Permanente.

The two-year dual-source agreement designates the Sunnyvale, CA-based vendor as a CAD systems provider to all Kaiser Permanente facilities, and runs through December 31, 2005. Kaiser Permanente facilities will have access to R2’s ImageChecker CAD system with OmniCAD technology for assistance in early breast cancer detection, R2 said.
