Siemens donates to China earthquake relief

Siemens Healthcare has donated imaging equipment and cash to the Chinese Red Cross and Sichuan Provincial Health Bureau to assist in the medical treatment of those affected by the May 12 earthquake.

In addition to a cash donation of 180,000 euros ($116,000 U.S.), the Erlangen, Germany-based firm has donated two Siremobil Compact L mobile surgical C-arms and two Sonoline Premier color ultrasound systems. The company's total contribution of aid has reached 540,000 euros ($348,000 U.S.).
