GE, Gamma Medica-Ideas extend pact

GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., and gamma camera developer Gamma Medica-Ideas of Northridge, CA, have extended their product distribution relationship to include joint development of preclinical imaging systems.

Under the new agreement, Gamma Medica will manufacture all preclinical PET, SPECT, and CT products sold by GE Healthcare, including the new eXplore CT 120 and speCZT model lines. GE Healthcare will continue promotion, marketing, sales, and service responsibilities.

The companies also will jointly pursue new product developments for preclinical imaging.
