RSNA, SIIM, and DPA to host 9th National Imaging Informatics Course

The RSNA, the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM), and the Digital Pathology Association (DPA) will host the ninth National Imaging Informatics Curriculum and Course (NIIC), to be held March 17 to 21.

The online course is geared toward trainees, practicing radiologists, informaticists, and scientists in radiology and pathology, yet also offers an opportunity to introduce nonradiology professionals to the field of imaging informatics, RSNA said. The program includes sessions on clinical workflow, business aspects, patient-centric radiology, hardware, software, and networking requirements, and PACS archives. The program also covers topics such as AI, mission learning, data science, and 3D printing.

The format includes small group discussions, live online lectures, on-demand content, assessments, and homework assignments. Successful participants will receive a certificate and qualify for up to 20 hours of SIIM Imaging Informatics Professional credits for American Board of Imaging Informatics certification and recertification.

Early registration ends on February 23. RSNA, SIIM, and DPA members are eligible to receive 10% off registration. In addition, a NIIC Scholarship Program is available to assist residents, fellows, PhD candidates, and students who are not institutionally funded to attend the course, with preference given to Emerging Nation applications, RSNA noted.
