Gane cleared of SEC charges

Dr. David Gane, former president and chief executive officer of dental imaging developer Dicom Imaging Systems, has been cleared of all securities fraud charges by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed the charges in August 2003 at the conclusion of a three-year investigation into Dicom Imaging Systems of White Rock, British Columbia. The agency had sought an injunction along with monetary penalties against Dr. Gane, and a lifetime ban on serving as a corporate officer or director.
