TeraRecon has been expanding from its base in advanced visualization software and into new markets for specialty imaging systems. At this year's RSNA show the San Mateo, CA, company will introduce a new dental CT scanner.
The new system is designed for dental surgeons, dental clinics, and hospitals, with applications including use during surgical implants and orthodontic and periodontic procedures. The system has not yet received FDA clearance and will be shown as a work-in-progress.
