Multimodality vendor GE Healthcare has received Food and Drug Administration clearance for its new bone mineral density measurement system, Lunar iDXA.
The product enables clinicians to simultaneously assess body composition and ascertain fat distribution, GE said. Lunar iDXA is also capable of measuring patients up to 400 lb (181.5 kg), according to GE of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.
