Del Medical of Franklin Park, IL, will introduce two new DR products, ARS and Apollo, at this year's RSNA show.
ARS is a two-bucky system that can accept either CR cassettes or DR panels, either as a new system or an upgrade. It includes Del's new EV650's four-way float-top elevating table, which has a 650-lb (295-kg) patient weight capacity, integral collision sensors, and recessed, slanted foot treadles.
Apollo is a remote-controlled system designed for maximum patient throughput and application flexibility with maximum patient comfort, according to the company. The system reduces patient radiation dose by employing low-absorption tabletop materials, reduced skin-to-film distance, fully automatic collimation, a retractable grid, and automatic parameters set in both fluoro and radiographic exposure modes.
Apollo uses Del's DIVA digital acquisition systems for a filmless radiography/fluoroscopy or digital subtraction angiography room, with full DICOM connectivity for integration into PACS networks.
Del's Epex family of DR products will be expanded with the new U-ARC single-panel delivery system to include interfaces for various DR flat-panel technologies, including a new CCD version. The U-ARC platform will compete in the mid-to-low tier DR market segments, including outpatient, private practice, and clinic-based exams.
