Spectrum Logic has debuted its 2824HR complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) x-ray detector.
The flat-panel digital detector has a pixel pitch of 50 µm and provides high-resolution images with an active area of 28 x 24 cm. It consists of four CMOS sensors stitched together with a 100-µm gap between active pixels. A fiber-optic plate is bonded on top of the sensors to protect electronics and CMOS sensors from radiation damage, the firm said.
The 2824HR detector is available with a cesium iodide (CsI) or gadolinium oxysulfide (Gadox) scintillator with a choice of three interfaces including camera link, USB 3.1, and 10-GB ethernet. The in-house software has a Windows-based software development kit.
An active air-cooling system is available for 2824HR and water cooling will be available later this year, Spectrum Logic said.
