Agfa HealthCare has upgraded its DR 800 multifunctional digital radiography (DR) system to include digital subtraction angiography (DSA) software.
The machine is capable of both radiography and fluoroscopy exams and comes with Musica image processing software. With DSA, stationary anatomical background structures can be removed so that vascular structures in bony or dense soft tissue can be better visualized, Agfa said. Blood vessels are visible, and DSA can be used to position stents, catheters, guidewires, balloons, and more, according to the firm.
DSA is pending Health Canada licensure, Agfa noted. The company is touting DR 800 and other products at RSNA 2021 this week in Chicago.
