(Booth 6920) Naviscan PET Systems of San Diego brings its PEM Flex Solo II high-resolution PET camera for niche applications, such as imaging small body parts like breasts and hands, to this year's RSNA conference.
PEM Flex Solo II utilizes PET technology for positron emission mammography (PEM), and is designed to visualize and characterize lesions as small as 2 mm. Solo II has been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and is currently available.
Naviscan will also show the results of its collaboration with Cleveland-based MIMvista. MIMvista's PET image display software combines with Naviscan's high-resolution PET technology to create MIMviewer PEM. Features include 3D measurement capabilities, enhanced region-of-interest support, and an embedded PEM lexicon.
In early 2008, MIMviewer PEM will have the ability to display images from other modalities with enhanced standardized uptake value (SUV) quantification and reporting tools.
