GE to acquire Coincidence Technologies

GE Medical Systems has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Coincidence Technologies, a Liege, Belgium-based developer and manufacturer of chemical systems used for production and handling of PET radiopharmaceuticals. Coincidence Technologies' FDG Synthesizer unit is used in conjunction with a cyclotron, providing the final chemical process step to produce FDG, according to Waukesha, WI-based GE. Terms of the agreement were not released, and the deal is subject to conditions.
