PET and SPECT radiopharmaceutical firm Zevacor Molecular plans to purchase a 70-MeV commercial cyclotron within 30 days.
The cyclotron is expected to be operational in the third quarter of 2016, as the company looks to expand its pharmaceutical line.
Zevacor has committed to the project to introduce a commercial medical 70-MeV cyclotron in order to stabilize the U.S. supply of medical isotopes needed to diagnose and treat critical illnesses.
