Molecular imaging developer Gamma Medica has inked partnership deals with two medical imaging vendors, Philips Healthcare and Volpara Solutions.
With Philips, Gamma Medica will offer the company's MicroDose SI full-field digital mammography (FFDM) system as a complement to its LumaGem molecular breast imaging (MBI) system. The agreement with Philips will allow Gamma Medica to provide breast imaging suites with the option to purchase both technologies; Philips will continue selling MicroDose SI directly to its own customers
The partnership with Volpara allows physicians to implement screening protocols based on a woman's breast density and individual risk factors, as VolparaDensity generates automatic measurements of volumetric breast density.
