MR Solutions has launched a new MR spectroscopy (MRS) PET preclinical scanner for simultaneous PET and MR imaging.
The clip-on MRS/PET device can be inserted into the company's cryogen-free 3-tesla, 4.7-tesla, or 7-tesla MRI magnets, MR Solutions said. Simultaneous PET/MRI enables faster workflow, and the system offers imaging resolution of less than 0.8 mm, according to the company.
If sequential PET/MR imaging is preferred, the MRS/PET insert can be clipped in front of the MRI bore. The MRI and PET components can also be used independently, negating the need to move subjects to difference machines.
