Nuclear medicine firm Digirad saw its revenue grow for the fourth quarter and full year of 2015.
For the last quarter of 2015 (end-December 31), the company reported revenue of $15.6 million, up 10.6% from sales of $14.1 million in the same period of 2014. Net income for the quarter was $678,000, compared with a profit of $772,000 in the corresponding quarter the year before.
For the full year, Digirad pulled in revenue of $60.8 million, up 9.3% from sales of $55.6 million in fiscal 2014. The firm enjoyed full-year net income of $21.6 million, compared with net income of $2.5 million in 2014.
Net income for 2015 was impacted by a $19.1 million income tax benefit. After adjusting for the benefit, the company had net income of $4.5 million in 2015, compared with an adjusted net income of $3.5 million in 2014.
The new results do not include contributions from DMS Health Technologies, which Digirad acquired on January 1. DMS will be included in Digirad's 2016 financials and is expected to double the company's revenue.
