Radiation detection holding company U.S. Nuclear has signed a letter of intent with medical isotope company Miftec to be the exclusive contractor for manufacturing Miftec's medical nuclear isotope generators.
Miftec is a subsidiary of the fusion technology company Magneto-Inertial Fusion Technologies (MIFTI), which developed its staged Z-pinch fusion technique to produce medical radioisotopes. Using this method can significantly reduce the cost of producing radioisotopes, the company said.
U.S. Nuclear Corp will also acquire a 10% stake in Miftec.
