Fonar wins FDA nod for new scanner

MRI vendor Fonar of Melville, NY, has received the Food and Drug Administration's 510(k) clearance for Indomitable, a full-body MRI scanner that is capable of imaging patients in a weight-bearing state. Fonar has displayed the system at past medical imaging conferences as Stand-Up MRI.
