MRI components provider Intermagnetics General reported fiscal third-quarter net sales of $37.2 million, up 8% compared with the $34.3 million reported in the same period last year. For the period (end-February 24), the Latham, NY-based vendor had net income of $3.1 million, compared with net income of $2.9 million a year ago.
In quarterly highlights, MRI magnet systems sales were $27.5 million, up 41% compared with the $19.4 million booked in the 2001 fiscal third quarter. Overall MRI segment sales grew 30% to $31 million, according to the company.
