MRI vendor Fonar reported fiscal third-quarter revenues of $11 million, down 3.5% from the $11.4 million reported in the third quarter of fiscal 2001. For the period (end-March 31), the Melville, NY-based vendor had a net loss of $5.1 million, compared with a net loss of $2.8 million in the same period last year.
On a positive note, the firm reported that sales of its Stand-Up MRI scanner totaled $6.9 million during the first nine months of fiscal 2002, up sharply from the $1 million in reported sales for the model during the same period in fiscal 2001.
