MRI vendor Fonar of Melville, NY, has received the CE Mark for its 360 MR scanner, opening the door for a European marketing effort.
The 360 scanner features a no-post magnet design in which the poles of the magnet protrude from the ceiling and floor, according to the company. The magnet's supporting structure is embedded in the walls, floors, and ceiling of the scanner suite, Fonar said.
