MRI components provider Intermagnetics General reported net income of $3.7 million in its fiscal first quarter 2003, compared with $3.6 million net income in the same period last year. For the quarter (end-August 25, 2002), the Latham, NY-based vendor had net sales figures of 35.2 million, compared with 40.1 million reported the prior year. The year-earlier quarter included about $3.5 million in sales from businesses that were divested later in fiscal 2002, according to the company.
