Contrast injector technology developer Medrad of Indianola, PA, will showcase a range of products in its RSNA booth, from a new radiofrequency coil for prostate imaging to a new offering that enables customers to move their contrast equipment wirelessly in the MRI suite.

Certo is a wireless network that enables compatible Medrad products to be moved around in the MRI suite without cables or wires. The first Medrad product that supports Certo is the Veris MR patient monitor with Veris remote display. The product was launched in October.

The system includes accessories for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, three- and five-lead ECG, and fiber-optic ECG. It is compatible with 1.5- and 3-tesla MRI scanners, comes in six different configurations, and includes a kit enabling it to be configured with Medrad's Continuum MR infusion system on a single pedestal.

For the Continuum system, Medrad has added compatibility with 3-tesla MRI scanners, with U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance received for the new option in June. The system supports the infusion of stress agents during cardiac MRI studies, as well as the administration of anesthesia and sedatives.

Finally, Medrad Prostate eCoil is a new radiofrequency coil that was released in August for 3-tesla Signa HDx scanners from GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K. The coil provides visualization of internal architecture of prostate and periprostatic structures and conforms to the size and shape of the prostate.
