Neurognostics of Milwaukee has installed its functional MRI (fMRI) suite of products and services at University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
The technology gives USC the ability to map important cognitive and sensorimotor brain functions for research and presurgical planning purposes.
The first major application of Neurognostics' fMRI system at USC will study disease-modifying therapies in multiple sclerosis patients. Later applications may include stroke and central nervous system research and advanced presurgical mapping prior to surgical intervention.
