Upright Multi-Position MRI operates at a 0.6-tesla field strength and features a unique upright architecture that enables patients to be scanned while sitting or standing. The design is useful for imaging patients in weight-bearing positions that could help physicians assess pathology, according to the company.

Also in its RSNA booth, Fonar will tout new receiver coil technology and scanning techniques that highlight the clinical value of upright and weight-bearing MRI.
